Baco-Liner 1 at Santander (25. / 26.01.2002)

During voyage 174 of Baco-Liner 1 vessel called at Port of Santander (Spain) to load 9 fermentation tanks weighing 38,5 ts and measuring 18,29 x 5,41 x 5,61 m each for destination Lagos / Apapa. Dimension of tanks did not allow loading in barges so tanks were stowed on deck on top of containers. Loading was arranged by 2 mobile cranes (see photographs). In order to comply with receivers' requirements concerning delivery, discharging of tanks took place at Apapa Quays and not at Kirikiri, where cargoes from Baco-Liner-vessels are normally discharged.
